Summer Fun

Tim and I have both had lots of stuff going on this summer. After getting everything moved out of our house in Washington, I went on a trip to Florida with my mom to see her family, while at the same time, Tim flew out to Vermont to do his residency week for his graduation from Norwich Univeristy's MBA program. As of August 17, he will be completely done with all MBA course work!!!!!! After both of our trips, Tim flew out to Washington for a month for work. He was there over the fourth of July, which turned out great. Kelly came home and his girlfriend Amy came up to Oak Harbor so we could all meet her. Kelly definitely snagged himself a great girl, she was liked by all. Now as the end of the summer is nearing, we are very excited to be closing on our new home in Missouri tomorrow and will be even more excited when the movers bring all our stuff to the house on Friday...let's hope nothing is missing or broken. (Always my biggest fears with movers.) Below are some of the pictures of our fun times this summer.

Update time!

Okay, so a lot has changed in our world in the last few weeks. I finally moved out to Missouri on July 26. Tim was at the airport to pick me up and then scadaddle over to the rental car place to pick up a rental car since the Jetta is in transit and hopefully here soon! My first few nights here we stayed at an Extended Stay America. I would like to refer to this place as the ghetto motel. I had stayed there a few times before with Tim, but never really realized how bad it was. Poor guy got eaten alive by bugs a few nights before I got there. He looked like he had the chicken pocs. Poor guy.

On July 31, we closed on the new house, and officially became home owers again. We do love the new house though, so it is well worth it. Although, we are still waiting on the sod to be put into our yard. The dirt has either been too wet, or then the weather is too hot for the sod people to put down sod. I figure if it is going to stay right near 100 degrees outside I would rather them wait so I don't have a mondo water bill.

The movers came last week on Friday to bring all our stuff. Now, my next question is: Why if something is brought to the attention of the packers that it is a high value item is it not packed more carefully??? Two of my high valued item articles have been either damaged or broken? Which of course irritates the heck out of me, because stupid things I could have cared less about making the move were packed better. Although, I must say that the cheap Walmart entertainment set that Tim bought before I even met him finally bit the dust with this move...I was estatic about that! I swear, it was the cheap piece of furniture that would never break for a long time.

Now, I am officially a house wife, but hopefully not for long. I have a job interview on Monday with a dentist in a neighboring town. So, until then, I am getting all the odds and ends done, as well as unpacking. Today I have the ADT guy coming to install our new security system, as well as the blind lady coming to measure blinds for our house. Tim is busy working, finishing up his last two weeks of school, as well as in the process of joining an adult softball team

Bumbo

I took Parker to get his picture taken today and then he spit up all over his shirt, so he hung out shirtless for a while today. Look at that belly! On another note, he has finally taken a little bit to his Bumbo chair. It used to be that he would scream his head off the second we put him in it. Now, he plays for a little bit before getting fussy. We are making progress!!!

CONGRATS Timmy!

Tim ran his first full Marathon today in a time of 4 hours and 36 minutes. It was the St. Louis Rock and Roll Marathon. He feels good, although a little sore from the run. Parker and I went down to watch him finish, along with our friends the Caseys. Sugar Ray was the end stage band playing, so we all got to listen to them.

Parker did not think waiting for daddy to finish the run was so much fun.

Pumpkin Patch

We took Parker to the pumpkin patch last weekend with some other friends and their kiddos. Parker had a blast running around like a crazy kid. Above is us on the hay ride and below is Parker actually being cooperative for a picture with the pumpkins.

Parker and Baby Brayden

Our friends Dan and Lauren came over for dinner Friday night with their new little guy, Brayden. Parker absolutely adores baby Brayden and is all over the poor little kid. He gave Brayden hugs and kiss, and would go up to him and tickle him. Parker even loved his baby car seat, and decided he needed to sit in it and play in it. Brayden was born May 8, so he is exactly two years and a few days younger than Parker.
Oh yeah, Parker even held baby Brayden. This is his first time holding a baby all on his own, and he was a champ at it!

Parker's Birthday Party

Opening his first present.
Getting ready to sing Happy Birthday.
He got his Buzz Lightyear and Woody toys and couldn't have been happier!
Yeah! He got a turtle sandbox from Aunt Susie, Uncle Ron, and Hopie. I had the same one as a kid.
