January

We haven't been up to a whole lot for the month of January. All three of us took turns, and then sometimes overlapped being sick. So, we are hoping that February is better for our health. Now, we are just awaiting what is supposed to be a severe winter storm that is supposed to give us tons of ice, and then a few feet of snow. Fun times!
We watched Ashton, my friend Amy's son one day while she worked. Parker loves Ashti as he calls him, but Ashti is a little afraid of Parker who wants to give him hugs all the time.

Taking a nap with mommy. Notice the thumb in the mouth, and the other hand on my ear.
We like to double fist it around here at the Johnston residence. ;)
We just got a new table with a bench. Parker loves sitting on the bench like a big boy.
This is how we eat yogurt at our house. Two spoons, and nothing but a diaper and bib on.

Sitting like a big boy makes him so happy!
This is what happens when he says cheese for the camera.

Parker's Finally Baptized!

Being the slacker parents that we are, it took us a while to baptize Parker, however, we finally did it on January 9, 2011. He is so big now, that he didn't wear a traditional white outfit, but we got close. He thought this whole process was torture, and so did Tim and I. We were reminded by all of his fits why you are supposed to do this when they are bitty babies and can't object at being stuck in church for long periods of time.
One of the many fits.

The last week....

We have had a pretty dull week since all three of us have been sick. Here, Parker is getting his ten minutes of fun to run around outside in the snow we got on Friday. He was still not feeling up to snuff, but was well enough to know that he loved being outside.
All smiles with daddy.

We used to store magazines in this bin, but Parker started eating them, so we got rid of them. Now we store some toys in it, but he likes to take them all out and crawl inside of it. When he does, he often times says "Weeeee!"
One of the few things I could get Parker to eat this week were smoothies or shakes. I liked how he insisted on double fisting his milk and shake.
Resting while trying to get better. Elmo made everything right in the world for him.
I had my friend Stacey's kids Ainsley and Hayden over here Saturday night. Ainsley borrowed one of my old bathing suits and jumped in the bath with Parker. He loved having company!

Christmas and Stuff

Parker and his full on smile. He often likes to make a cheesy big smile and squinty closed eyes.
The tree after Santa came.
Parker was SO excited to get an Elmo doll. He loves Elmo.
He also got a really cool car ramp.
Making sure Elmo got to eat breakfast too.
"Hmm, I wonder if they'll notice if I try to put this crayon in my ear?"
Riding his motorcycle for the first time.
We had a white Christmas. Parker was dying to go outside since he has been couped up in our house for a while, but wasn't so sure about these snow pants.
Taking all this white stuff in.
With daddy. He really liked sticking the snow to his gloves and then licking the snow off.

Loving the snow and being outside!
Some of the craziness that was Christmas. Tim, Parker, Chipples, me, and Stacey.
Sadly, this was the better of the two or three family pictures at Christmas.
Dave, Tim, Jason, and Jason.
With Parker doing one of his cheesy smiles.
Grandma Bonnie got his this cool flight jacket for Christmas. Although it doesn't seem so from this picture, it is now his favorite coat.
