34 weeks

We are 34 weeks today! 6 weeks more to go, and I am hoping they go fast. I am still sleeping on the couch since it is the only place I can actually get comfortable for any length of time. Only problem is that I kind of get stuck in the couch like a beach whale. :) It is getting harder and harder to get up for my potty breaks in the middle of the night. This little guy is now poking his foot out and we can feel it when he does. Tim and I like to tickle it, which kind of makes him mad and then he moves the foot to the other side of the belly, where we tickle it again. We like to make a game of this. Ahh, the things that can entertain parents to be.

Visit to the Doctor

I had a prenatal visit today. I am now 33 and a half weeks. Parker had a heart rate today of 150 and measured at 32 cm. My doctor said everything is still looking good, and he wants to see me back again in two weeks. At that time, they have to do the Strep B test. If I am one of the 30% of mommies who tests positive for it, then I'll have to have IV antibiotics during childbirth.

On another note, Tim and I had our last baby class on Monday night. We got a little certificate and everything saying we "graduated" from baby class. Kind of cute.

Last weekend was my baby shower in Missouri. My friends and girls from work all showed up and Parker was once again spoiled rotten. I got a lot of the things we still needed for him, so that was really nice. Then, on Sunday, I dragged Tim to Babies R Us to buy some of the other things we still needed just so I could be done with it. Yes, I know, I am way OCD about being prepared for things, but I did have a ton of coupons that were going to expire if I didn't use them, so there. :)

Wine Tasting in Missouri

This past weekend my best friend from high school Shelley and her sister Corey came out to visit us. Shelley is getting her PhD at Indiana U. right now and Corey was on spring break visiting Shelley from WSU. It was so good to see my girls! We spent the day Saturday by hitting a few of the wineries here in Missouri. We only live about twenty minutes from several. I was the built in DD for the day, which nobody complained about, but luckily for not only the kids there, but the preggies as well, they have several different varieties of sparkling cider to taste too. My neighbor Stacey and her good friend Darlene who was visiting from Virginia also joined us for our little adventure. The picture here is from the winery named Montelle. This winery by far has the best views of all the wineries close to us.

Doctor's visit

I had a doctor visit today. Everything is still looking good. My results from my gestational diabetes testing were normal thank goodness, I didn't want to have to do the three hour fast, so I was really hoping. My hematocrit was good too. Parker had a heart rate today of 154, which was the same as last month, and he once again decided to make a big movement while the doctor was checking the heart rate. My belly measured 31cm, which is right on too. I am now going to go down to two weeks between visits until the last four weeks, then it will be every week.

31 weeks

We are now 31 weeks down and nine weeks to go. Tim decided it was time to finish putting the exersaucer together that he started putting together last weekend. It had way more parts than he was expecting and ended up running out of time last weekend. He now has all the baby things that we have put together. I always have him put them together because I don't like reading the directions and figuring it out myself.

I have officially moved my sleeping post to the couch downstairs. That is where I am most comfortable. I am happy if I get to sleep more than two hours at a time as well. This little guy is growing like mad and I keep swearing my belly can't get any bigger, but then it does. We started child birth classes last week and have another one this week as well as a prenatal visit this week. I have also started to get really bad heartburn after eating this week. I am hoping that decides to go away soon!

30 weeks

Yeah, we are 75% done now!!! The little guy is moving all over the place. I don't really get kicked all that much anymore since he is running out of room. As Tim likes to say, his studio apartment is getting very snug. Tim has also updated Parker to an "alien" baby since he can now see my stomach popping out weird random ways when he moves. It is pretty neat I think.

We continue to stay busy with work and getting things ready for our arrival. This weekend we went and purchased a recliner for the baby's room for those late nights of rocking to sleep. Other than that, not much else is going on around here. Hope you are all doing well!
