25 weeks...only 15 more to go!!!

Today I am 25 weeks. Not too much new in the baby department to report on. He continues to kick and move around all the time. Tim is able to feel more and more of the movements and loves it. We have been busy around here. Tim is back up to working 6 days a week ten hours a day until the end of the contract they are working on. So, until the beginning of April he is a busy guy with work. I am still working four days a week so at least I am not as busy as he is. :) On Wednesday I head home to visit my mom for 12 days. That's about all for now.

Doctor Visit

Today was our appointment with the baby doc. Things are still looking very good, although I wanted to fall off the scale when I saw how much I weighed. I have gained 19 pounds so far, although seeing as how I was wearing an extra two pounds worth of clothes since it is a whopping 5 degrees with wind chill making it feel like negative ten today, I am going to say I have only gained 17 pounds. ;) I think Parker is into kicking things. It was pretty funny, Dr. Puckett gets out his little heart beat machine and puts it on my tummy just to get kicked right away by the baby. He looked a little surprised, and then when he was done with checking the heart rate, he said to me "You have a very active baby, did you just eat?" I let him know that nope, I hadn't just eaten, that he was that way all the time. The belly was measured today and measured 24". That is about it for this visit. I go in for my glucose testing in four weeks along with my next visit.

22/23 Weeks

I am now 23 weeks. Woohoo, getting closer slowly but surely. The picture above was taken last night when I officially hit the 23 mark, and the picture below is of my belly taken last weekend at the 22 week mark. Baby is still growing all the time. The past few days, my cravings have been for sugar in the chewy, gummy candy form. So bad that I actually drove to the convienence store down the street from us on Saturday and purchased some. Uncle Kelly is a candy freak for this type of candy, so I think he is definitely getting some of this from my side of the family. Tim can also feel his movements a lot more now. It was cute last night because Tim went to kiss the belly, and as he did it, Parker moved and socked Tim in the nose. The look on Tim's face was classic. It was a mix of happy that he felt the movement, but shock that he got socked in the nose. :) All the baby furniture came in this week. Tim and our neighbor Mark, who graciously took Tim and let us use his big truck to go get the furniture managed to get all the furniture and bring it upstairs where it now hangs out in our loft. We still need to paint the nursery, so we figured since we had the space, we would leave the furiture out of the room until it is painted for less hassle. That is about all that is new with us for now. We have our next doctor appointment scheduled for Thursday afternoon, so we'll update then.

This is Tim with our neighbor's daughter Emily. She is just shy of eight months old and the cutest little thing. Tim decided to entertain her for a bit when they were over on Thursday. It thought they looked so cute playing together that I had to snap a picture.

A Mover and a Shaker

So, for those of you who haven't already heard, we decided to share the little guy's name. So, when he pops out, he will be called Parker Ty. With that being said, little Parker likes to move all over the place in my tummy. This morning, Tim was finally able to feel him moving. In addition, I could see my belly bulge out in random places when he would move. It was pretty cool to get a visual image to put with all the commotion I have felt in my belly for about a month now.
