Crib and Play yard

We decided to be a little motivated this morning, so we finished up putting the bedding on our crib, and then Tim with me supervising put together the play yard. I am still working on putting clothes away for the little guy since he has quite the wardrobe already.

28 weeks

I am now 28 and a half weeks, although this picture was taken on Sunday right as I hit 28 weeks. We had a doctor appointment last week on Thursday. Everything is still looking good. Parker once again kicked the doctor as he was trying to listen to the heart rate, which was 154 this month. He seems to be pretty consistent with where his heart rate is so that is good. I also had to do my glucose test at this appointment. I thought I was going to barf after drinking that pure sugar drink. I hate getting blood drawn too, so I am not sure which part of it I hated the most.

Tim is busy, busy, and oh, did I mention busy right now? He and his group are now up to working twelve hour days seven days a week for this week and possibly next, then hopefully it'll calm back down to their 60 hours 6 days a week. Poor guy is very exhausted, and I miss him! I am finally back down to two days a week though, so at least I get to meet him for lunch a few days a week. That is about all that is going on around our house for the moment.

Washington

I got back from a great visit up to Oak Harbor on Monday. I spent twelve days soaking in the ocean and mountains. I didn't realize how much I had taken them for granted my whole life. I flew in on January 28. I left seven inches of snow behind in Saint Louis and arrived to sun in Seattle. Then, Monday, I left snow in Seattle and came back to sun in Saint Louis. Doesn't happen like that very often. :)
The first week I was there, my mom and my Aunt Susie had a baby shower for me. It was great fun to get to see all my old friends again! They came from all over, most of them from the Seattle area, but one of my good friends from hygiene school came all the way over from Couer d' Alene, Idaho. Thank you to all that came, it really meant so much to me!!! Needless to say, Parker was once again spoiled rotten. He has tons of new clothes and a few other baby things he will be needing.
The rest of the week, I spent relaxing with my mom. She showed me her new house, which is torn apart right now, but I think will look very nice once it is done. The wood floor guys were installing the wood floor while I was there. The kitchen cabinets still need to go in along with the rest of the kitchen stuff, so it'll look a lot different next time I see it. Kelly came home from Pullman for my last weekend and we got to spend some time together. All in all, it was a great relaxing trip, but my favorite moment was when my mom and I went to the commissary one day for groceries. My mom tore her meniscus a couple weeks before I got there. We were quite the pair shopping. One time, she needed something on the bottom shelf that was pushed way back and there was no one else in sight. She tried to bend down, but her knee wouldn't allow it, so then she looked at me. I don't really bend either, so there I was down on my hands and knees in the grocery store grabbing stuff off the bottom shelf. I am sure it was quite the site to see.

25 weeks...only 15 more to go!!!

Today I am 25 weeks. Not too much new in the baby department to report on. He continues to kick and move around all the time. Tim is able to feel more and more of the movements and loves it. We have been busy around here. Tim is back up to working 6 days a week ten hours a day until the end of the contract they are working on. So, until the beginning of April he is a busy guy with work. I am still working four days a week so at least I am not as busy as he is. :) On Wednesday I head home to visit my mom for 12 days. That's about all for now.

Doctor Visit

Today was our appointment with the baby doc. Things are still looking very good, although I wanted to fall off the scale when I saw how much I weighed. I have gained 19 pounds so far, although seeing as how I was wearing an extra two pounds worth of clothes since it is a whopping 5 degrees with wind chill making it feel like negative ten today, I am going to say I have only gained 17 pounds. ;) I think Parker is into kicking things. It was pretty funny, Dr. Puckett gets out his little heart beat machine and puts it on my tummy just to get kicked right away by the baby. He looked a little surprised, and then when he was done with checking the heart rate, he said to me "You have a very active baby, did you just eat?" I let him know that nope, I hadn't just eaten, that he was that way all the time. The belly was measured today and measured 24". That is about it for this visit. I go in for my glucose testing in four weeks along with my next visit.

22/23 Weeks

I am now 23 weeks. Woohoo, getting closer slowly but surely. The picture above was taken last night when I officially hit the 23 mark, and the picture below is of my belly taken last weekend at the 22 week mark. Baby is still growing all the time. The past few days, my cravings have been for sugar in the chewy, gummy candy form. So bad that I actually drove to the convienence store down the street from us on Saturday and purchased some. Uncle Kelly is a candy freak for this type of candy, so I think he is definitely getting some of this from my side of the family. Tim can also feel his movements a lot more now. It was cute last night because Tim went to kiss the belly, and as he did it, Parker moved and socked Tim in the nose. The look on Tim's face was classic. It was a mix of happy that he felt the movement, but shock that he got socked in the nose. :) All the baby furniture came in this week. Tim and our neighbor Mark, who graciously took Tim and let us use his big truck to go get the furniture managed to get all the furniture and bring it upstairs where it now hangs out in our loft. We still need to paint the nursery, so we figured since we had the space, we would leave the furiture out of the room until it is painted for less hassle. That is about all that is new with us for now. We have our next doctor appointment scheduled for Thursday afternoon, so we'll update then.

This is Tim with our neighbor's daughter Emily. She is just shy of eight months old and the cutest little thing. Tim decided to entertain her for a bit when they were over on Thursday. It thought they looked so cute playing together that I had to snap a picture.

A Mover and a Shaker

So, for those of you who haven't already heard, we decided to share the little guy's name. So, when he pops out, he will be called Parker Ty. With that being said, little Parker likes to move all over the place in my tummy. This morning, Tim was finally able to feel him moving. In addition, I could see my belly bulge out in random places when he would move. It was pretty cool to get a visual image to put with all the commotion I have felt in my belly for about a month now.
